The Kingsbury Freshman Academy is a 24,000 SF classroom building addition at Kingsbury High School in Memphis, Tennessee. The central corridor offsets along its path to carve out a larger central gathering space which pushes out the East and West façades. The West façade responds by stepping out reflecting the adjacent high school buildings; the East façade bows gracefully responding to the natural environment. Each end of the building features large outdoor classrooms on the second level and relaxed outdoor dining/study areas on the ground level.
